SOLAR PANELS ON OFFICE ROOF AND SOLAR PANEL FARMS
You’ve already made a substantial investment in your solar panels, so why not let us keep them working at optimum levels by cleaning them regularly.
Dirty solar panels affects your Solar PV System’s performance and basically puts them in constant shade.
Birds mess, dust, pollution and plant sap easily clings to the surface of your panels preventing the suns rays from getting through and reducing the amount of energy you collect, thus reducing the return on your investment.
Due to the amount of rain that falls in the UK an annual clean of the panels should be enough to keep most domestic panels working well throughout the year, but for commercial solar farms which are normally surrounded by animals and vegetation they can require more frequent cleaning.
Businesses with solar panels on the roof may also need regular maintenance cleans due to the urban landscape of birds mess and high traffic pollution.
At Allsbright we will discuss with the client the most efficient cleaning schedule to suit their business and its needs and budget.
Method
Commercial solar panels tend to be vast in numbers making it particularly difficult to clean yourself. Why not leave it to our specially trained and insured teams to get them sparkling again.
We use the latest equipment from Ionic Systems to ensure the best and most gentle clean. We do not use abrasive tools or harsh chemicals. Our pure water is used along with our specially designed brushes to agitate the dirt and grime and gently remove it from the surface.
We do not use pressure washing equipment.
Spring time is the perfect time to clean your panels ready for those summer months, and then later in the autumn to remove debris baked on throughout the summer.
We will always choose an overcast, or even a rainy day to clean the panels. Cleaning them in hot weather will make the water evaporate too quickly causing smears and smudges.
